Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his maiden trophy for 882 days with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has experienced a torrid period, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a setback at the American major.
His unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in particular - caused him falling of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-time trainer Cervara.
Now working with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has gradually improved in the past month - culminating in a closely contested three-set win over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface after that period of the previous year.
The win also indicates Medvedev has won twenty-one victories at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, including in Halle previously this season.
His defensive approach and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had prompted observers to question if his ability to perform at the elite level was concluded.
But the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and perform assertively, supported by an better serve.
The champion came back from a deficit in the opening set against the tricky opponent, securing 4 of the last five games to take the lead.
Both players exchanged break points in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden professional championship, gained dominance to push for a third set.
The opponent defended four early-game break points in a close deciding set before the champion won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, the winner secured victory with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
